The “Beautiful Blue Danube” International Festival and Competition was held in Budapest, Hungary, on 2 October 2020. The event was organized by the “STARS WAY” European Festival Project from Prague, supported by “World Union of Culture” and “Mozaika TV” European Internet Television as the media partner. Seven Polish contestants took part in the event, giving exceptional performances and securing high ranks among the winners. These included: Julia Markowska – 1st place, Martyna Plewa – 1st place, Gabriela Borys -1st place, Karolina Lorenz – 2nd place, Wiktoria Dołżonek – 2nd place, Sandra Pytlarz – 2nd place, and Natan Gryga – 2nd Congratulations to all and wishing you continued success in the future!

Hello everyone, we have great news from Serbia – we now have the results of the “Angel Voice” International Singing Competition which was held online on 3-6 October 2020. We are pleased to let you know that all 5 of our Polish contestants have been successful! Here are their specific achievements: Natan Gryga – 1st Prize, Katarzyna Andruszko – 2nd Prize, Kornelia Wodka – 1st Prize, Norbert Kuświk – 3rd Prize, and Zuzanna Bera – 1st Prize. Congratulations to you all! A great “thank you” to all those engaged in the preparations as well as to all supporters.
Saribek Sargsyan, SSCE’s artistic director, was invited to sit on the international jury of the “Ange; Voice” competition, where he represented Poland. The competition was organized by “THALIA – art development fulcrum” from Belgrade.

A new “Hay Hogin” (“Armenian Soul”) song and video clip were released today, 20 September 2020. The music to the piece was written to the lyrics of the late Armenian poet, Mushegh Iskhan, by a well-known Armenian composer, Armenuhi Karapetyan. The project developed by the Hamazkayin Armenian Educational and Cultural Association brought together 27 outstanding Armenian musicians, singers and vocalists from 17 countries in the world. Due to the COVID-19 restrictions recordings were partially made at artists’ places of residence. We are happy to say that one of the vocalists invited to participate in the project was SSCE’s artistic director, Saribek /Sar/ Sargsyan. Enjoy the new song - (click here)!

The “Sofia Grand Prix” International Vocal Competition was held on September 5-6, 2020 in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia. The event was organized by our Bulgarian partner, the ARTVOICES Festival Agency. The competition was held in the famous “Concert Hall No. 11” of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. Due to the pandemic, international contestants were allowed to give online performances only. The SSCE Agency represented 4 Polish contestants who once again amazed the international jury with their performances. The awards they received include the following: Natan Gryga – 1st place (World Hit) and 1st place (Patriotic Song), Julia Markowska – 1st place (Jazz) and 1st place (Musical), Natalia Gal – 2nd place (Jazz) and 1st place (Musical), Weronika Wiśniewska – 1st place (World Hit) and 1st place (Musical). Thank you all and wishing you continued successes! Congratulations also to tutors and parents!

Saribek Sargsyan, artistic director of SSCE, is the standing juror of the “Sofia Grand Prix” International Festival. Before the pandemic he was always working locally, but this year Saribek was evaluating the contestants from Warsaw via an online transmission.

The online International Festival and Competition “World of Arts 2020” took place on August 10, 2020 in Prague, Czech Republic. The organizer of the event was the European Festival Project “STARS WAY”, and the patron was the “World Union of Culture”. The media partners included “Mozaika TV” and the European Internet Television. The competition was open to music ensembles (duos and trios) and soloists from any country, aged 4 and above. 19 competitors representing Poland took part in the event who sang in various genre and age categories. The Polish contestants proved to be highly successful, with three singers coming in third places, ten in second places, and five in first places. The Grand Prix was also awarded to a Pole – Paweł Szymański. We are very happy for him! Congratulations to all Polish contestants – wishing you all continued successes! Thank you for a great collaboration and awaiting upcoming joint projects with SSCE.

The International Vocal Competition “Music Talent League 2020” took place in Vilnius on 6-13 June 2020, exclusively represented in Poland by the SSCE Agency. This year the organizers were forced to hold the entire event online. Poland was represented by 12 contestants who performed in various age and genre categories.

Congratulations go to all contestants, their tutors who contributed to their success, as well as parents.

We wish to thank the organizers of the “Music Talent League” for the professional preparation and delivery of a magnificent event, so hard during these difficult times.

We also thank all those involved for their cooperation and are eagerly awaiting to meet you all during other musical ventures.

We are proud to present Justyna Galaszewska at the "World Vision 2020" International Online Vocal Competition organized by the World Association of Performing Arts (WAPA), represented in Poland SSCE’s Art Director, Saribek Sargsyan. A total of 718 contestants from 40 different countries signed up for the Competition, with 400 proceeding to stage 2 – we are happy to let you know Justyna was one of them. She is now awaiting the semi-finals and the final. Stage 2 of the Competition will begin on Monday, 25 May 2020. Fingers crossed for Justyna!

The 2nd International Festival and Competition of Art “VIVA ITALIA 2020” was held on 16-19 February 2020 at the Ghione Theatre in Rome. The event was organized by the World Association of Performing Arts – WAPA (officially represented in Poland by SSCE’s Artistic Director, Saribek Sargsyan). The international jury was made up of the members of the chamber TRIO KRUNK ensemble which gave a special performance during the awards ceremony, including pieces by renowned Armenian composers.

One of SSCE’s major areas of activity is to promote the TRIO KRUNK. The trio will be performing in April and May 2020 in Armenia and Nagorno-Karabakh. Details coming soon.

Here it is – a new song by Sar Sargsyan. This time Sar is singing “I know I wasn’t for you…” (“Wiem, że nie byłem dla Ciebie…”), by well-known Polish artists: Władysław Eiger, who composed the music, and Zenon Friedwald, Joanna Kucharczyk who wrote the lyrics.

This is the second piece sung by Sar in Polish, plus it boasts a wonderful new arrangement by the renowned Armenian musician and composer, Alexandra Maghakyan. The score features the manjut (which translates as “Manuk’s violin”). Similar to the piccolo cello, the instrument has a unique form with no other comparison in the world. It has five strings and features the golden patterns of various classical and national string instruments. The manjut fragment is played by the creator of the instrument and an outstanding Armenian musician, Manuk Harutyunyan, who also developed many other Armenian folk instruments. Mixing and mastering was performed by Miqayael Margaryan. The vocal recording was made at Delphy Records in Warsaw, and the duduk recording was made at MI-Production in Yerevan.
