Welcome to the site of our extraordinary Festival!
The “Vistula Sounds” Festival is an annual international musical event with the participation of contestants, jury members and guests from Poland and abroad. The event is characterized by the highest quality of artistic performance and organization. Although the Festival combines different activities of cultural, entertainment and educational nature in the fields of vocal and stage performance, the overall concept is nothing short of harmonious.
The Festival will feature 2 competitions, 3 concerts and 4 trips promoting the cities of Ciechocinek and region Kujawsko-Pomorskie, 2 meetings providing space for international cultural exchange, as well as several masterclasses conducted by international jurors. “Vistula Sounds” is not a commercial undertaking – the goal is to promote Poland, its culture and traditions among the younger generations of Polish and international contestants and other guests. Being open to thousands of potential spectators, the festival has been developed to enrich the extensive cultural and entertainment offering of the city of Ciechocinek with an attractive, multicultural event for spa visitors, residents and tourists.
The Vistula Sounds is not a commercial event – admission to all festival events is free of charge.
We make every effort to ensure that contestants, guests and spectators impatiently await the next edition of the “Vistula Sounds”.
As of the 4th edition of the Festival, the event will be called the Irena Santor “Vistula Sounds” International Festival.
See you in Ciechocinek at the Festival!
Announcement of the results of preselection for the Festival Competitions!
We are truly delighted by the overwhelming response and the number of applications we received. The Artistic Council of the Festival faced a challenging task, as the artistic standard was exceptionally high and the volume of submissions substantial. Regrettably, this meant that not all applicants could be accepted. Some applications were not selected because, in the view of the Artistic Council, the candidates may benefit from further development before participating in either of the two competitions. While we understand this may be disappointing, we sincerely hope this time allows for continued growth in areas such as vocal technique, diction, stage presence, and repertoire selection. Our Festival performances call for a combination of these elements to truly shine. In other cases, applications were declined simply because the number of available places in certain categories had already been filled. All decisions made by the Artistic Council regarding the competitions have been communicated individually to applicants via the email addresses provided in their submissions.
We were especially pleased to receive entries from new regions, with more than 20 countries represented this year — a record in the four-year history of the "Vistula Sounds". Of particular note is the growing interest in Polish music among international contestants, which we greatly appreciate.
Whether or not you were selected this time, we warmly invite you to join us in Ciechocinek and be part of "Vistula Sounds" — a vibrant celebration of song, music, and cultural exchange from across the globe.
We look forward to welcoming you to Ciechocinek from 12–16 August 2025!
