The “Sofia Grand Prix” International Vocal Competition was held on September 5-6, 2020 in Bulgaria’s capital, Sofia. The event was organized by our Bulgarian partner, the ARTVOICES Festival Agency. The competition was held in the famous “Concert Hall No. 11” of the National Palace of Culture in Sofia. Due to the pandemic, international contestants were allowed to give online performances only. The SSCE Agency represented 4 Polish contestants who once again amazed the international jury with their performances. The awards they received include the following: Natan Gryga – 1st place (World Hit) and 1st place (Patriotic Song), Julia Markowska – 1st place (Jazz) and 1st place (Musical), Natalia Gal – 2nd place (Jazz) and 1st place (Musical), Weronika Wiśniewska – 1st place (World Hit) and 1st place (Musical). Saribek Sargsyan, artistic director of SSCE, is the standing juror of the “Sofia Grand Prix” International Festival. Before the pandemic he was always working locally, but this year Saribek was evaluating the contestants from Warsaw via an online transmission.
